About Angela

Angela’s Colossal Cats series of paintings shot her to prominence in 2010. They were initially painted as an escape route from her abstract work, but now the likes of ‘Cowboy Joe from Mexico’ represents her signature style, which has resulted in her work being exhibited alongside Tracey Emin in 2011.

Angela has been surrounded by all things pink, fluffy and kitsch for many years through her daughters’ influences and it was only natural that this fed into her work. This, plus the influence of George Stubbs’ large paintings, led to the creation of paintings that makes a kitsch image desirable on a grand scale.
