About Fenella

Fenella’s porcelain ceramics come in two forms: wall hung 3D ‘paintings’ and pedestal based sculptures.

In the framed wall pieces, hundreds of small white porcelain pieces defy their hard texture and create soft feather-like waves of movement. The pieces are stuck to board or sewn to linen to create beautiful illusions. The sculptures have ribbons of porcelain in a mobius or twisted double helix form. They are interlaced with fine porcelain leaves to build structures that hold light and alter form.

The unique technique used in Fenella’s work creates beautiful illusions of softness and fluidity in hard but delicate forms.
